Lowrance released a new preview video for their soon to be released HDS StructureScan module with DownScan. This video isn’t as exciting as the last one with Barry Stokes, but it’s all we have right now. So check it out below. The people at Lowrance sure know how to tease a guy. They’re really tempting us to go out and grab one of these awesome looking HDS units. Even without the side imaging add-on it’s an absolutely fantastic looking fish finder.
It actually might work out well to be forced to wait a while for the side-scan module. You can buy the HDS unit, get it installed and learn to use it right away (now). Then you’ll have a little while to save some more money before the StructureScan module is released. It looks like it will be a pretty easy install and it will plug right into your HDS unit. I haven’t seen an official price on the StructureScan add-on module, but I’ve heard that it will be around $500. Add that to the price of the Lowrance HDS and it seems pretty comparable to similar Humminbird units.
Here is the previous post (with video) on the Lowrance Side-Scan add-on module – Lowrance Structure Scan (Side Scan) with Down Scan…WOW
