I love it! My father picked up the 898si a month ago and a week later he had hip reconstructive surgery. (bad for him but great for me). I am fortunate that he lets me take out the boat whenever I like. The whole reason for this post is the abundance of structure you can see along with the ability of dragging your cursor over structure and then setting gps waypoint. Then you can go to another view on you unit and it will tell you where and how far you are from the structure and then drop you marker buoy on it and presto you have no more guessing games with traditional sonar you never really knew what you where missing. Ignorance is not bliss when trying to find fish!!! Also another favorite part is cat fishing and actually being able to see the scour holes behind bridge pilings in the river we fish, some are fish targets while others are non existent. Yes. All of the Humminbird 898c SI fishfinders have down-imaging and side-imaging and they come with an external antenna.

Do all the 898c si have the down scan as well as the side scan?
