Which RAM Mount for my Humminbird?
I am working on a simple list of the Ram Mount recommendations for each Humminbird fishfinder or GPS unit. Hi, can i use the ram mount RAM-B-111 for my Humminbird 798ciSi?
You might be able to get away with a B-size ball, but those are designed for units weighing around 5 pounds or less. I think the Humminbird 798s are about 6 pounds. The RAM Mount site (link above) recommends the RAM-107U (about $50) or the RAM-B-107U (about $30). The RAM-B-107U is a B-size ball too, so I guess they do recommend a B-size as an option for the 798.
I guess if I had to pick, I’d go with what RAM has to say, or find someone who has the 798 and see what they are using. Good luck with it. RAM is the way to go!
